Welcome to Weaverman.nl!

Rock & soul band Weaverman started from weekly studio sessions in projectstudio the Hondenkapsalon. Core members Andre Maaskant and Ivar Lansen, played together in the rockbands Checkin' out en The Next in the 90's respectively on guitar and drums.

In 2010 the two decided to get together on a weekly basis to write and record songs. Both Andre and Ivar listen to a lot of different music; a.o.. rhytm & blues, soul, funk, pop, rock en alternative. These influences found their way into the songs, but they developed a sound of their own. The first song they recorded was Weaverman, after long debate Weaverman also became the name of the band.  Marco Goedhart, who used to play with Andre in Ivar in several other bands helped them out by playing his solid, funky bass parts on 7 tracks.

14 short accessible songs make up the first Weaverman album "latest tracks". It was recorded and mixed in Ivar's projectstudio "de Hondenkapsalon" and was professionally mastered by probably the best mastering engineer in the Netherlands Darius van Helfteren @ Amsterdam mastering. The artwork of the cd packaging and Weaverman housestyle is designed by Brunette van Eijseldijk. The album was released in november 2012.

The following artist were mentioned after listening to the Weaverman album; Aerosmith, G-Love, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Jamie Lidell and Rare Earth (first white band signed by Motown). The album is available on the their own independent label Stash Box Records. You can by the record in a few stores in Amsterdam and in the shop section of this website.
